Seattle
Yesterday was my trek into the eclectic state of washington. When i first started driving into the eastern part of the state i thought i had been dreaming that i was on a road trip because i could've sworn i was back in Kansas. A lot of the landscape of eastern washington looks a lot like kansas with flat lands and a few rolling hills and farms sparsely laid out along the road. The further you get into the state it does start to change and the closer you get to seattle the mountains pop into view. I was a little nervous about driving in seattle because i didn't know what it would be like, but thankfully i borrowed celeste's gps and it helped me to navigate that crazy place without completely losing it. First stop was the space needle which is pretty damn cool. I wish i would've gone to the top of it at night because i think it would've been a lot better view, but it was cool to see nonetheless. I also checked out the nirvana exhibit and the jimi hendrix exhibit at the experience music project, which is a music museum. They were definitely very cool and i wish i could've spent more time there but i had a lot of things i wanted to see so i moved on pretty quickly. Next up was walking down and checking out pike place market and walked along the pier, which was definitely awesome. There are so many cool shops and places to eat down there and i could've spent a whole day down there. Definitely a wide variety of people to see in seattle and sitting on the pier is quite the people watching experience. Since i got there later in the day than i had wanted i didn't get to see everything i wanted to so i might go back today and see a few of the other things i missed. My big plan for the day is to go to Mt. Rainier and do some hiking. So excited for that=) I've found that i really love hiking and being surrounded by mountains so i'm going to do as much hiking as i can while i'm on my trip. I started off my day with a dead battery because my dumbass left my computer charging all night, but luckily i got someone to jump start me and i'm good to go now. Definitely won't be doing that again. I've figured out that i'm pretty sure every day is going to be a wow! day,as far as all of the amazing things i get to see. Each state has something different to offer that always puts a smile on my face, makes me shake my head and just say wow! Can't wait to see what today has to offer me. I'll try to put up my seattle pics later tonight.
