My Twilight Saga continues
Sunday i started my day off with a trip up to La Push and hiked to 2nd and 3rd Beaches. The hike to 3rd beach was a little longer than i had planned on and since there weren't a lot of people out it got kinda creepy and i was glad when it was over. The hike to second beach was a lot shorter and the beach itself had a lot of neat rock formations and was a pretty cool place to chill at for awhile. Once i got back into town i decided to hit up Dazzled by Twilight a twilight and vampire only souvenir shop and owned by the same company that took me on my tour. They had pretty much anything twilight related you could think of and some more i never even would have imagined they would have. They had carboard cutouts you could stick your head through and take pictures of and other things to decorate their store that added to the ambiance of it all. Once i got my twilight fix for the day i headed up to the Hoh Rainforest and took a hike through the Hall of Mosses. Whenever i always thought of a rainforest before i would always think of a tropical rainforest, but this place was definitely pretty chilly and rainy. It's crazy how green everything is and was kinda sad that my pictures i took couldn't really convey how green everything really was. There were some cool trees that looked like they could've been homes for some hobbits (yes i'm a lord of the rings geek too) and you could definitely picture edward and bella wandering around the forest hanging out and the cullens hunting for dinner in there. =) I wasn't sure what the Hall of Mosses would be like, but it's a hike i would definitely recommend if you go there and something you just have to see for yourself. From there i went down to Ruby Beach and wandered around for a bit. Definitely the prettiest beach i saw while in washington and had the coolest rock formations and views. Another long day, but a good day nonetheless. I would like to say that i was pleasantly suprised at how many times i heard people talking about helping out the people of joplin,mo on the radio. Didn't know people so far away cared so much about people in the midwest. Nice to see that there are good people out there that want to help whoever is in need.
