One of the coolest days of my life!!!

Yesterday was a long day, but I can honestly say it was definitely one of the coolest days I have ever had.  I saw so many beautiful and amazing things it kind of seems unreal looking back on it.  The day started off great with the drive up to the tetons in wyoming.  Definitely a drive everyone needs to take sometime because it is so beautiful.  One word kept popping into my head at almost every turn in the road......WOW!  I know it seems like a pretty simple word but i don't think there is any word capable of describing how amazing the views were so wow! was what i kept thinking.  Just when i thought i had seen the best view of the mountains i would curve a different way and the next view would be even better.  I saw a a momma deer and her baby running and playing off the side of the road in a preservation area and i had to stop on the road because some cowboys were driving cattle across the road and along side the road.......pretty cool=).   I didn't stop in Jackson except to get something to eat and i wish now that i had, but it will give me something to do next time i go because i definitely will be going again.  I finally got to Teton National Park and i was blown away.  Even if you don't go hiking there the drive through the park is so beautiful and breathtaking.  I hiked around Jenny Lake and had such a good time.  The lake was beautiful and i got to see some cool wildlife, including some elk and a moose.   From the tetons i headed up to Yellowstone.  Going from the tetons into yellowstone was kind of disappointing at first because going that way the views just don't compare.  I made it up to Old Faithful and it was going off when i pulled into the parking lot, so i got to see it from a distance.  I knew it would be a little while before it went off again so i did some shopping and then decided to sit and wait for it.  It was pretty chilly out and old faithful just wouldn't perform for me(maybe that was why, lol!) and i was tired of waiting, so i decided to leave.  I heard some people say it would be an hour and it was getting late so i took off to finish driving through yellowstone.  I grossly underestimated how long it would take to drive through yellowstone so it was dusk while i was driving through a lot of it, but i'm glad now that i got to drive during that time.  I saw beautiful views of the mountains as the sun was going down and the colors that were behind it and around it were amazing.  I will say that the views in yellowstone definitely got better the further north i got.  Probably the most exciting thing i saw was a momma bear and her two cubs walking along a hill across the road from where a bunch of us had pulled over.  I used the binoculars(thank u for those celeste and casey)and watched as they climbed down the hill and started just walking down the road.  It was so cool to see and the cubs were so cute.  Unfortunately or fortunately they were walking in the opposite direction i was at.  It would've been cool to see them more up close, but i probably would've freaked out if they had started coming my way too.   Because of my lack of planning properly i ended up having to drive through some of the park when it was dark out so i missed some great views i have a feeling, but i plan on coming back again someday so i'll check them out then.  I'm in Montana right now and am gonna try to hit up the Lewis and Clark Caverns today and then see how far west i make it.  Excited to see what cool things i get to see today.  Wish you all could be here with me to share this with, but i am having a great time=) I'll try to post some pics later today.
