Tortilla Flats/Fourth of July/Arizona

On the fourth of july we took a drive up to Tortilla Flats, which is east of phoenix. The drive there was full of twists and turns with beautiful views along the way. When we got there we ate at a cool hole in the wall restaurant that was decorated in wall to wall signed dollar bills and other cool decorations.  They had a fortune teller machine up front, rattle snake skins on the walls, saddles for the bar stools and the coolest bathrooms i've been in.  The food was so good and our waiter was really nice and helpful and i had a great time in the bathroom taking fun pictures =)  We wandered around after we ate and stopped in a couple of shops and then got some ice cream before taking off for home that day.  That night we went and watched the fireworks show that the town of buckeye put on and then came back home and enjoyed a few margaritas =)  Tuesday, the fifth, mary and mike had to fly back to kansas so i was gonna be on my own for the rest of my time in arizona.  That night a huge dust storm came through, followed by a thunderstorm, that knocked the power out at the house for a couple of hours and delayed their flight by a couple of hours.  It was pretty interesting being here by myself with a crazy storm going on outside and me hanging out in the dark.  I made it through and the power finally came back on and everything was back to normal.  Wednesday and Thursday i just kind of lounged around and relaxed and then got myself ready to head up north for a few days on the road.
